I Always Say Too Much!

Okay, I have an agenda of topics, so pardon my "bulleting"...I've had a magners, some chocolate, and a long effing week...buckle in and hold on to your britches!

ONE...I've decided to be Strawberry Shortcake for Halloween. I'd love to have the whole berry gang too, so if you feel compelled to dress up, and if you feel compelled to hang out with me [for plans yet undecided], then please, by all means, pick one of the gang and dress up with me! I plan on making my costume, but if I fall short on time I'll be dressing up in a premade sleazy Shortcake costume. Mike, you'd make a cute Huckleberry Pie. If we were talking in person I'd use my smirk to charm you into to it! ;)

TWO...this story was boring, I deleted it...I will assume you are grateful. Please save your thanks for later! [Had to do with me using power tools is all]

THREE...I was going to complain about going to the girly doctor. I even had it all written out. But, then I felt like it revealed too much medical information that I shouldn't share. I will assume you are grateful. Please save your thanks for later!

FOUR...So yesterday I got home from a really long day of work. I walk in to find out that my beautiful bully Bella was grey. You may not see the alarm in this, but you should know that she is a white furred doggie....covered in ashes from rolling in the burn pile. To say the least, I was not pleased, but this did mean that she and I had to shower together [the only real productive way to bathe a dog]. Here are some snapshots!

FIVE...Just a few things to some people who may or may not read any of this...Shane posted on Facebook today, he IS alive, I am completely elated with this knowledge, I hope to hear more! I am hoping @ibificus is enjoying his Friday that is leading to a hangover for Saturday...which is sure to be "impressive". Those boys in Ireland worry me sometimes! Speaking of boys in Ireland, another I'm sure I should worry about is @FrankieP. If there were ever a human that enjoyed scaring themselves, it would be him. I could see him dressing up in frightening costumes and then jumping in front of the mirror for the simple pleasure of the heart racing fright he might get! He inspired a nightmare I had about a masked person. To @sheehanpaul, I hope you are enjoying your trip to the west coast of the US. You inspired a dream I had about a Tommy Gun [see nightmare link above]! To my sis Holly, I've not heard from you in days. Yes I am aware I should sign into MySpace more often, the phone works both ways, etc; anyway I hope you are well. Becky, I got the invite, I plan on attending the shower. Brandy, I got the invite, I plan on attending the party. Mike C., your birthday is approaching, what would you like to do? Kelly G., your birthday is approaching, I have some gift ideas! Kelly P.-F., we need to get together sometime for tea, popcorn, and board games!

Phew, that was a lot...now, your words...

Stories of Starring Yeti

For those of you reading this blog via MySpace, you may have noticed that I got a request for a story by Yeti. Yeti be my baby bro, Drew! Here is the comment: “ouch! I think I'd rather hear bout the time the bike seat broke for me! I don't even remember the pool incident!” I have to say that I don’t think this is so much a request for a story, rather a request for torture, but in any case, I am taking it, and running as fast as I can with it before he catches up with me and pummels me to the ground!

So let me set the stage for you, we’ll say 1987-1988, I was about 8 years old. I had to ride my bike one mile to school, in snow, uphill both ways. Seriously though, it was cold, so cold that Drew was bundled tightly in layers upon layers of clothing, which helped his plight. Because of my age and fears of kidnappings my mom rode her bike to school with me. Since Drew was still very young, about 3 maybe, he rode on the back of my mom’s bike via a child seat. It was this bucket type thing with a strap on it, not nearly as sophisticated as the one I show in the image. So it was a cold day and we are riding the bikes to school. Drew help me out here, was there snow on the ground? Anyway, we’re riding along, and I look over notice something is odd. My brother was missing! In fact the whole seat is missing! I look down to see it flopped behind my mom’s bike being dragged along the road as we peddle along. I don’t know how long it took me to freak out and call it to my mom’s attention. My memory recalls the seat literally bumping along the ground for half a block. That is of course what I saw, I couldn’t tell you how long he’d been down there! I can’t stop laughing as I write this! So anyway, we got it all fixed and went on our merry way; but it’s a classic story I love to tell. It was the time the bike seat broke and my mom dragged my baby brother along the road.

So the other story, the one where Dusty, my older brother, saved Drew, my baby brother in the pool. When we were young, we had a small pool in our back yard, maybe 3’ deep. Small but great for kids, and we spent most of our waking summer days in this pool running in circles trying to make a whirlpool! Well, my poor baby brother who was much smaller and younger than Dusty and I used to either have water wings or a floatation ring around his waist (oh the laughter won’t stop). Well on this particularly sunny day, he wore a ring around his waist, climbed to the top of the ladder and jumped in! I was still standing on the back porch not quite ready yet, and Dusty was standing near me. We watched Drew jump in but get turned upside down. There he was, upside down with a ring around his waist feet kicking trying to turn himself around for air. As I myself have a fear of water these days, my laughter has stopped and my heart is racing, imagine yourself in water being held in place by the one floatation device you’ve used for your own safety. I froze not knowing what to do, and it was at this point that Dusty dove in without even using the ladder because his awesomeness allowed him to do so. He grabbed Drew out of the water and flipped him around for air. I don’t recall much else about the story other than the ring was orange and clear plastic and that began my absolute fear of water.

So there you are, let me know if I can share any more great stories with you, for you, about you! I will leave you today with the word of the day and save my other great topics for yet another day!

Hork: To steal something, though not usually applicable to shoplifting or grand theft.

In use: I turned around for five minutes and someone horked my Pepsi from the fridge at work.

How Will the Pub Pull This Off?

I have to admit that I am rather enjoying this lyrics game. For starters, I’m always the person with her headphones in her ears, so it’s not like I even have to think twice about listening to music. My second point is that I have some lyrics that I absolutely love, and some lyrics I’ve always wanted to look up because I can’t understand them. I find that it’s rather fun in general; the problem is that no one has really tried to guess any of the songs. Maybe they have and don’t know the songs, which makes sense because even after looking them I have to think about what the song could be, and I wrote them! I am starting a new list that is the couple lines of lyrics that I love about a particular song rather than the first lines of the song. I’m being a little more selective about the song this time too. Perhaps some one will know these lyrics a little better!

I recently noticed a bulletin in MySpace about the Pub having their first live music ever. This will be good, for many a year I have thought it would be a great space for a small band. Of course now that it is reality I am wondering where and how the Pub will pull this off. I’m hoping Becky, my faithful reader, will comment to let me know in what exact space the Dynamos will be playing. A three dollar cover charge is about the right amount of money to charge too! I make no promises to show up though, I am a total slacker, just so everyone one knows up front! I do good anymore to know what day it is!

I believe that since I am in a relatively crabby mood, I will cheer myself up with a continuation of my list of small things that make me happy!

OKAY, so enough of that for the day, I’ll move onto the word of the day.

Phone grope: Grabbing at pockets, patting one’s self down to make sure you have your cell phone and don’t need to turn around and go back home for it.

In Use:
Dude 1: Dude, stop that!
Dude 2: Stop what?
Dude 1: Quit the phone grope, you’re always grabbing at your pockets as soon as we’re on the road, did you remember your cell phone?
